Electromagnetic flow meter V.S radar flow meter
Q=Av, you have to know area and velocity. If you have a full pipe area is known, so cut it and install a magmeter to measure velocity. If you have an open channel or round sewer drain with a weir or a flume (Parshall, Venturi) to stabilize flow velocity, measure area with a level device, radar...

level transmitters at 3-phase separators
Different and probably better technologies can be used apart from the ones you already tried. Before the weir, for oil/water interface measurement you can use Guided Wave Radars, best installation is in external chamber using the side-side connections of the DP cell. Depending on kind of...

IS calculation for Simple Apparatus
There are several apps available for the calculation. With products, sensors and barriers, of Endress+Hauser it's extremely friendly the use of ExiCalculator app, free download from App Store or Google Play. The app also generates pdf documents for safety records

Gross and standard volume
For moving from TOV (Total Observed Volume) to NSV (Net Standard Volume) you have to apply several corrections. For a flow measurement the most important ones are the API or OIML or ISO Standards related to volume conversions of various hydrocarbons at specified T and P. Below the most used API...

E&H FMR51 ultrasonic level transmitter
FMR51 is a radar, not ultrasonic. Check if the Empty and Full values you set in the configuration wizard are correct DC of water is 80, set the parameter to "Water based" If there's a display on the radar, you can see an echo curve on it for checking if there's a false echo at 93% If there's an...

Capacitance of Intrinsically Safe Cables
There's a nice app from Endress+Hauser named ExiCalculator that makes calculations based on their sensors models plus cable features. It also print a pdf with results. Just with their products. Downloadable for free from App Store or Google Play

Water level sensor
You could try this FWR30 from Endress+Hauser. It's a battery operated 80 GHz radar with a SIM inside that sends data to E+H cloud named Netilion. You get the data via web connection with any fixed or portable device, tablet, smartphone... Cost is sure higher than the empty bottle you used, but...

Sensor accessories
Instrument manufacturers, at least the most important ones, have special departments for out of standard products. There is a big number of them, such as special process connections or exotic alloys, that are already present in their "specials" database, thus having already price and delivery...

Accuracy in %FS and %RD.
Accuracies of field devices and also of indicators, controllers... listed in technical documentation are intended under reference conditions in laboratories (T, P, humidity, no interference, ideal reflection for radars...) , according to specific norms such as DIN 61298-2 or others. In the...

Level sensor can measure all kinds of medium
Liquids and solids can be measured by Time of Flight sensors like radars, ultrasonic, GWR or laser systems. Usually there are different models for liquids and solids, with different algorythms to interpretate the reflected echoes that differ a lot between the two conditions. Electromechanical...

Impact of vacuum in a guide wave radar level measurment
Propagation of microwaves/micropulses of GWRs are not influenced by vacuum, so the physical principle is suitable for vacuum applications. Probably the limitations found in one model are due to mechanical reasons. If you look at the best GWRs manufacturers you won't find limitations in vacuum
