modbus communication error
What software are you using? The update interval may be the time it takes the software to read all registers (using multiple requests) or it could be the time between each request. For testing purposes, you can use a large delay, such as 1 second, to confirm whether or not communications...

modbus communication error
Your issue may be timing related. I've seen issues such as this where the master makes requests too quickly and can cause every other request to become corrupted. What happens is the slave may take a while to stop driving the bus after sending its response and the master tries to send its next...

Multibyte Length (Parser)
The term "Multibyte Length" is not from the Modbus specification, so this must be specific to "your software". Are you by chance using the Mervis IDE (this was the only thing I could find that uses the terms from your subject)? According to the guide here...

Communicate with Modbus RTU to EATON IQ100 power meter through Internet
Yes, the QuickServer is one example of an IoT gateway backed by the manufacturer's own cloud solution. Here is an example of just an IoT gateway (no manufacturer's cloud, you must create and manage your own AWS account): https://www.csimn.com/CSI_pages/MQ-61.html Since you are concerned about...

Communicate with Modbus RTU to EATON IQ100 power meter through Internet
I'm the product specialist at ICC for the ETH-1000. While the ETH-1000 can certainly communicate Modbus RTU to the Eaton IQ meter, I don't believe it is the correct product for your requirement to push data to the cloud or log to a CSV file. The ETH-1000 is intended for device to device...

Intelligent Modbus Gateway Required
Our ETH-1000 gateway could be used for this application. Although its Modbus RTU Slave driver supports only 1 Modbus address, the Generic Serial Slave driver can be used instead, in conjunction with the ETH-1000's Database Logic feature, to dynamically respond with the correct Modbus/TCP device...

Combining RS485 with Wifi TCP/IP. Buy converter or ???
The most common solution is to use a Modbus/TCP to Modbus RTU gateway. The added benefit of using a gateway is that, depending on the gateway, other communication protocols may be included as well. For example, ICC's ETH-1000 could be used to bring your sensor's data in via Modbus RTU and expose...

Communication CABLE
BACnet/IP uses Ethernet, so typical Ethernet cabling should be used (CAT 5, 5e, 6, etc.). It is also possible to use fiber optic cables, although the majority of BACnet/IP devices only have Ethernet (RJ-45) ports.

Connecting a transmitter to HMI
You should not need an interface between the HMI and transmitter, since both are RS-485 and support Modbus RTU. Although testing the HMI's RS-485 port using your computer is a good test, I recommend using a Modbus RTU slave simulator instead of Hyperterminal. This will also allow you to confirm...

Connecting a transmitter to HMI
Although it's called 2-wire RS-485, it actually requires 3 connections - RS-485 +, RS-485 -, and signal reference (i.e. common, ground, etc.). Additionally, the A and B terminal labeling is not standardized in the industry, so you may need to swap your + and - wires. Please confirm your wiring...

Re-mape Midea Gateway Bacnet IP
ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 135 is the standard for the BACnet specification. Section 16 details the Who-Is and I-Am services. This section states the following (note that I have removed irrelevant statements for readability): The Who-Is service is used by a sending BACnet-user to determine the device...

Re-mape Midea Gateway Bacnet IP
Just to clarify, BACnet clients target devices by device instance number (device ID), regardless of whether BACnet MS/TP or BACnet/IP is being used. The only difference is the underlying MAC layer address, which is typically automatically resolved by the BACnet client using Who-Is/I-Am...

Re-mape Midea Gateway Bacnet IP
Thank you for the additional details and information regarding the other equipment you're using. Assuming the gateway you're using is the ADFweb HD67B81-IP-A1, I believe your issue may be due to a mis-configuration of the ADFweb gateway or a BACnet limitation of the ADFweb gateway. According...

It may not be possible to reconfigure that gateway. According to an owner's manual I found here http://www.midea-electric.pl/documents/70533/en/IO_IO0018A032015%20CCM-08%20owner's%20manual%20EN.pdf it states, "System will automatically identify the in using outdoor unit and generate...

Re-mape Midea Gateway Bacnet IP
Are you referring to more than one BACnet gateway (i.e. multiple BACnet devices connected on the bus) or more than one VRF system connected to a single BACnet gateway? In BACnet, Input objects are always read-only (i.e. Analog Input, Binary Input, etc.) and Value objects may or may not be...

Re-mape Midea Gateway Bacnet IP
I understand that. YABE can write to any object's Object_Identifier property, provided that is allowed by the BACnet server, whether that be the Device Object, an Analog Value, Binary Input, etc. If the gateway does not allow writing the Object_Identifier property via BACnet, then you will need...

Re-mape Midea Gateway Bacnet IP
Assuming the device supports a BACnet client writing to the Object_Identifier property to change object instances, you can use YABE, it's a great free BACnet explorer https://sourceforge.net/projects/yetanotherbacnetexplorer/ Otherwise you'll probably need to use a proprietary tool supplied by...
