DP Cell Zero and Span
1) >What exactly did they do? If you don't know what procedure your co-workers did, how would I or anyone else know? 2) I know you want a 3 sentence summary so I'll take a stab at it, but you should really need to read the 11 pages on calibration in the manual. Otherwise, it's just...

HC2-S Probe and Modbus
Good Luck. I was threatened with having to implement this about a year ago and was relieved when the project died because their 3 pages on Modbus in the comm manual did not inspire confidence. From notes I have, I believe that the HC2 probe plugs into a Rotronics 'transmitter' that...

24vdc Control
The spec sheet on my desk for a Weidmuller 17333230 24Vdc relay says it pulls in at 16.7Vdc. It also gives current and wattage specs. Check the spec sheet on yours.

ModBus RTU wiring
If you search for RS-485 wiring (as opposed to Modbus wiring) you'll find lots of examples and diagrams, like this: https://s32.postimg.org/6k4o02x0l/2_wire_multi_drop_with_terminating_resistors.jpg

ModBus RTU wiring
If it isn't practical to wire from master to slave 1 to slave 2 to slave 3 in a daisy chain, then your diagram looks OK to me. You understand the concept that RS-485 multidrop is not a hub-and-spoke topology, it's a first-to-second-to-third-to-fourth daisy chain. There should probably...

Communicating with Citect and Twido using Modbus RTU
The absence of an answer in two weeks should be a sign that there probably isn't any cookbook recipe for the task you've got. There is a 28 page document (it looks like the Modbus chapter from a manual) here...

Citect v7.40 SP1 - PM710 meter - FloatMode problem
Assuming your register addresses are decimal, please use your CAS Modbus scanner software to read 4 sequential registers 400999, 401000, 401001 and 401002 (decimal) and tell us what their hexadecimal values are. And tell us what the correct value is (should be). If the slave is smart...

PLC Totalizer Under Reading

Power Without Signal
My reply was not clear that I was referring to loop powered digital indicators. Loop powered digital indicators can include a totalizer. These devices do not directly measure flow, they just interpret a 4-20mA loop current signal, in this case from a flow meter, and display one or two...

Power Without Signal
No, connecting a DC power supply to a loop powered meter will not indicator or totalize or do anything and is likely to damage the meter. A loop powered indicator does NOT regulate the current in a loop like a 2 wire transmitter does. A loop powered indicator uses the loop current and drops...

HMI Modbus Master-Slave
In order to "power on/off lights" you have to include the PLC on the Modbus network, unless it already communicates to one of the HMIs with another protocol on another comm port. I can't help on the specifics of the HMI configuration/programming, but the rule is that an RS-485 network can...

Modbus Role Auto
> role (Auto, Master, Slave) Without a specific context (where the statement comes from and how it used in the document) it's impossible to say what auto is, and even then, it probably would not be clear. It sounds to me like a cut and paste error in a marketing document. The statement...
