AHOP Starts During Fuel Changeover in Frame-III
Well, I reckon something is causing the Aux. Hyd. to start during the transfer, so that is what you need to find out from the software. There is no point in saying this OK, that is OK, the aux is starting and something is starting it!

GE Frame 5 Lube Oil
It's good to get an answer from people, but this is a kind of strange answer. Where did all this accumulated "dirt" come from? And why did you not see it as an increasing filter DP? Secondly, do you really clean your filters, you don't replace them?

Gas Turbine Exhaust Thermocouples
Not good at any time to have so many Thermocouples faulty - why?? Regarding problems, depends on their location but could give you trips in the Combustion Monitor software (Exhaust Temp. Spread). Best suggestion is replace the thermocouples.

GE Frame 1 Not Starting Up after MOH
Your mail is not very clear. Can you confirm that unit trips when 2TV (Purge Timer) times out?

GE Frame 1 Not Starting Up after MOH
Is this the same machine in the Post "MK2 Startup Issue" posted by Haroon on May 29th. It's just kind of strange to get 2 x Frame 1 machines in a few days?

Mark 2 Control Startup Issue
No problem in changing the PCD tapping point. Yes, you are getting PCD pressure but you still haven't told us what the logic is for the Alarm?

Yes, Nuovo Pignone called MK 1.5 just to confuse everyone. From memory, 14HS is around there, it is a twin shaft.

I don't have any MKII drawings at the moment. What is in the "PCD Failure" alarm rung. It looks like the system sees a PCD Failure when it hits 14HS, I know you have checked the transmitter but maybe you just have a rung problem in the alarm.

Air Intake Filter High Differential Pressure
To be honest, I don't think that there is much that you can do about it, you have the wrong filter system for your environmental conditions. Why don't you try someone other than GE to do a retrofit for you, GE are always very expensive.

Mk 2 Speedtronic Control
Hi, I don't have a set of drawings with me. But what I remember is that when the VMPA cards do their job the Master "4" relays (I think 4 of them) are connected in series across the 128V supply.

Air Intake Filter High Differential Pressure
Can we get a bit more info. on your location? What is your major cause of contamination, can you do anything about it? To be honest, if this is as bad as you say, commercially this has got to be the best case to think about retro-fitting self cleaning filters. A days down time on a Frame 9 every...

Different CPDs
Sorry, I'm kind of embarrassed by my first answer to you. I must have been having a bad day and only looked at the CPD without looking at the load. CSA, as usual, has given you good ideas. I'll leave it to him for the moment.

Sorry, don't understand the question. CPDs are 7.8 & 7.9, do you expect them to be exactly the same?

MARK 2 Temperature Averaging
OK. Are you sure that the SCZA card in slot "D" of the calibrator is working? Can you read MvA/B voltage from the card? If you have a separate Mv source, forget the calibrator and connect it directly to the averaging box and see if you can get Tx to the panel.

MARK 2 Temperature Averaging
During calibration of Mk2 Exhaust Temperature Averaging module, manual says first reject all the TCs. Then apply mv signal at the TX-INN+ and Tx.INN -ve terminal, read the output at TX-OUT and ACOM terminal, and note the corresponding Temp.Meter reading. Where as,when we reject all the TCs, the...

Gas Turbine FR9E High Exhaust Pressure
If you have high sulfur gas, the production of mineral sulfur is tied to gas temperature. If this is causing higher sulfur deposition it is possible it is causing blockage. I'm only guessing and, like you, looking for a cause.

Gas Turbine FR9E High Exhaust Pressure
Is this boiler re-fired? You say that you are getting sulfur deposits, where are you operating vs. the gas dew point temperature and what is your gas supply temp. (has it changed?) If your gas temp. has been reduced that is maybe why you are getting mineral sulfur deposits. If you can get it...
