understanding the diesel engine control system used to start Gas turbine.
Below are a couple of documents that will help. I cannot find anything for the Cummins engine as that is very old and was replaced by the Detroit engine which was bigger (600HP), the operating system is pretty much the same though. Hope this helps. Please ask if you need more specific help

When FSR control FSRT for 9FA machine (MARK-6e)
FSRT is FSR Temperarure Control used when the Exhaust Temperature is controlling FSR. If you have a Control Specification, check it for exact settings for your machine and read your manuals for exact functions of system. I have attached a basic control fundamentals doc. for MKVI ( I don't...

Frame V ratchet trouble
It looks like that you are not getting a full forward stroke to activate 33HR and drive the ratchet in reverse. Are you getting enough pressure, check pump filter, check PCV VR5 setting, etc.

Electronic Overspeed Detection
Since MKV, Control & Protection were made totally separate to comply with various regulations. This means that the speed control & Overspeed Protection pickups need to be separate

Oil in Gas turbine filter house
Look like a good situation to check your system P&ID's and see where oil is used in your filter house as we don't know. Why don't you have a check and come back to us.

Liquid Fuel System Mark II Frame 5 (MS5001)
If your machine is MKII it must be getting kind of old. Can you tell us how old is the machine and how many hours it has operated? To evaluate now whether the machine is worth upgrading you need to look at how much more life the machine has, as upgrading is very expensive and maybe it is not...

Where to Start Learning about Mark VI?
For a start you could try the MKVIe manuals. That's how I learned, read the manuals and use them when troubleshooting. Troubleshooting is the key, it's called "experience."

GE Frame6B MKV Failure to Ignite
"Further investigation on SRV opening found that before starting up the value for RST (fully closed) is at -97.10 for all, while during start up/firing mode it differs at -0.05 , 4.56 and 2.91" Just an update, I read your post again. -97.10 on SRV at shutdown is OK, this is a hard close...

GE Frame6B MKV Failure to Ignite
Most of the data you have given seems OK but the CPD at 3.8b at FSNL is at least a starting point to look at something. Are Compressor Bleed Valves operating properly, is IGV angle OK, is it possible anything is partially blocking Inlet Air flow? Can you just crank again then switch to fire...

Start-Up Gas Turbine Frame 6B on Destilate Mode
Hi again. Check your A.A. P&ID. Please check the two non-return valves in the AA line, one just after the main A.A. compressor and one in the Booster compressor discharge line (I don't have a drawing at the moment so I can't give you Tag numbers.) This system works automatically to...

Start-Up Gas Turbine Frame 6B on Destilate Mode
Did you get any other Alarm. When were the Fuel Nozzles last maintained? Did the machine ever start on Diesel? If Yes, when was that and has any other work been done since then? When you try to ignite, does the Exhaust Temp. rise at all before you get loss of flame?
