Exhaust Thermocouples are getting random failure in 6FA Machine
These are Type K thermocouples made for a specific purpose, to measure the temp in the Exhaust duct of a Gas Turbine, normally 450-600 Deg.C. Don't have an exact spec. but I would guess Stainless

Exhaust Thermocouples are getting random failure in 6FA Machine
Take a look in the "Search" feature of Control.com(top right corner) there are many articles on"Exhaust Thermocouples". What you have is not an unusual failure rate

GT 6B Gas Fuel Inlet Pressure 96FG-2ABC False Indication
For a simple answer first, once shaft is at 100% speed P2 should be pretty well constant but, of course, SRV will keep opening as load increases to maintain P2, at Base Load P2 wants to 1-2 Bar above P3. Once at 100% speed it is P2 pressure feedback is what is controlling the SRV, something is...

Wheelspace in Gas Turbine
Did you have any other alarms at the same time? What was the change in ambient temp? Do you know what the CPD pressure was and did it change ? What was the change in 2nd. stage W/space.temps?

DC lube oil pump
If you can have twin AC with a capability to run everything from either supply but it is an expensive fix. DC is simple and cheap and reliable

I think you need a training course not a little bit of troubleshooting information.

Gas Turbine GE FA6.03
I don't think that you understand how a gas turbine works. The gas fuel is only as it says, fuel. The gas turbine produces compressed air, it then passes this air to a combuster with fuel and heats up the air so it expands and then accelerates the air over a turbine to produce horsepower. The...

CONTINOUS OVERRUNNING CLUTCH FAILURE
That's very interesting. How was this excessive hyd. pressure being produced ? I am assuming that you have a traditional two pump hydraulic system with a mechanical main pump and an electrically driven Aux. pump (see attached drawing). Can you then explain how this excessive pressure was being...

What does this mean ? Do you want to know about all the included subjects? This would be a 10 day 80 hour training course which would get you to the point of starting to learn. Don't you have any manuals and drawings for your equipment that you could at least start with ?

Gas Turbine GE FA6.03
Your talking about fuel temp. affecting combustion temp. If you are at Base load combustion temp. is going to be 1050 - 1250 Deg C. Can you explain. Did you get your Gas Dew Point, I've seen fuel gas at 70 Deg. many times

1) Fuel Gas Supply Temp. should be, according to GE, 40 Deg. C above the the Dew Point Temp. You will need to ask your gas supplier if you don't have the Dew Point. 2) What controls combustion mode transfer is TTRF (Calculated Ref. Firing Temp. versus various setpoints . I don't think gas temp...

As it's been a week since we last talked, I guess that you have lost the push to get this resolved. I will wait a few days for a response, if not I will move you into the " no longer interested" bin.

These torque converters were built in 2016, since they were installed can you give some history on the machine (Maintenance, problems, unusual shutdowns), when did the clutch problems start, was there anything else being done on the machine at that time?

Thanks for the answers. Where are you located, have you tried talking to Voith ? There is not a lot of Gas Turbine industry history on these torque converters, even myself have only seen a few in my 50 years of Gas Turbines. Let me ask around a bit, do you have any pictures of the damage and any...
