High Exhaust Temperature Spread
There are usually separate passages for liquid fuel and gas fuel in "the" fuel nozzles, so the suggestion to clean them (specifically the gas fuel portions of the fuel nozzles) is correct.

Frame 6 DLN Loading Issue
minhao_lee, Have you or your operators tried selecting BASE LOAD Load Control mode, and if so, what happens? Using Pre-Selected Load Control to try to "stay" in Base Load (CPR-biased exhaust temperature control) <b>IS NOT</b> the correct way to operate any GE-design heavy duty gas turbine...

Esoteric_Stone, I'm very sorry to hear of your situation with the application code. The salespeople do not understand how the upgrade/retrofit process is performed by GE. (Actually, many of the people in the engineering department performing the upgrade/retrofit don't really <i>understand</i>...

GE Speed Protection
jalestine, >Can you explain me about protective speed and control speed >in GT? For just about any type of turbine it is important to be able to control the speed of the turbine in order to control the power being produced by the turbine. Speed sensors are connected to the turbine control...

Confusion over SRV Checkout on Frame 6B with a Flenco DLN1 Gas Module
Dmelanco, So, you have a recently calibrated True AC RMS voltmeter and you and your new field service person have verified the linearity of the LVDT feedback over the full stroke, so use the MANUAL FSR function to gag the FSR on load so that you can be reasonably certain the Gas Control...

PG6111FA M-VIe control IGV hunting in Preselect Load
STLTLS, >Sure we will get the data by today and will post once >gathered all the data as you said. How is the data acquisition coming? One of the issues with DLN combustion systems is that there can be (and very often are) load ranges where continuous operation is not a good idea for...

hamed87, When re-booting from <PD>, be sure to remove the power to the control processor, wait approximately 30 seconds, then re-apply power to the control processor. Don't just cycle the power switch very quickly.... That's NOT GOOD for the power supply card or the electronics on the cards...

hamed87, There is a procedure in GEH-5980 for using the LCC/SLCC display and keypad for troubleshooting failures to reach I/O State A7. You need to determine which I/O card or -cards are at the lowest I/O State and then resolve that condition, until all the cards get to I/O State A6--and...

PG6111FA M-VIe control IGV hunting in Preselect Load
I find it utterly incomprehensible--and completely stupid--that operators and their supervisors and plant managers will put up with 4 MW swings while the turbine is operating with Pre-Selected Load Control active. If the setpoint is 65 MW, and the unit is continually bouncing between 63 and 67...
