Centrok Modbus interface
I read it like you do, data word 0000 has the position value in bits 8 -15. If you want to change the position, you need to write to data word 0000 with the new position value in bits 8-15. page 51 states: Master Instructions: Nominal: This variable (Nominal) is the % of opening the user...

Centrok Modbus interface
The two screen shots you posted are nearly incomprehensible, which is surprising because the 48 page Centork Modbus manual for the Modbus option card is one of the most comprehensive and best written Modbus manuals I've ever seen and the info on the pages you showed are not in that manual...

Masoneilan 2700 Pneumatic Pressure Controller
The spec sheet here http://www.ipsa-cv.com.mx/masoneilan/docs/specdata/Instruments/CW6000.PDF is probably all that there is. It shows the supply air connection, the regulated output connection, the setpoint adjustment and the proportional band adjustment. What else would you need?

HART Upgrade
The 275 has been retired for years, 2002 (?) or thereabouts. But, hook the 275 up, give it try and see. I suspect that the universal and common commands will still function for any HART device. But the generic commands are fairly limited. I seriously doubt that updates are available any...

New Site Launch - Bugs and Issues
There are Alert messages (my terminology) displayed by the bell symbol (upper right) in a pop-up window. Links embedded in those alert messages 404.

Question: "Start a Conversation" Where does the conversation show up? Does it show up in public in some "Conversation" category somewhere? Or is it a private message to a registered user?

9FA GT Exhaust Thermocouple Heads Breaking
I don't understand what broke. Is the thermocouple wire broken - inside the head? - at the terminal block connection? - external to the thermocouple head? Or is the thermocouple head itself broken somehow? If so, broken off from its pipe threaded process mounting? How is it broken?

GE Modbus concentrator
TMA. Too Many Acronymns. No pictures showed up with your post, but photos of enclosures rarely define internal functionality. Sometimes brand model numbers help tell the story; links to manuals do, too. I don't know what a 'Comment interface' is. Can you expand on that? I'm not sure what...

How to send "login" string via Modbus?
Thanks again for clarifying the character packing, the password timer and alternative addressing but I take my hat off for you for your explanation of how FC16 works as expected with a register count of 10 and a byte count of 20; Honeywell's description for FC16 just did not make sense to me.

How to send "login" string via Modbus?
Thank you jschulze for shedding the light of experience on the topic. Password is 0x736F 0x6C61 is ASCII for sola (all lower case), 0x534F 0x4C41 (SOLA in caps). Questions Are the remaining 16 characters are 0x00 (ASCII null) characters, not 0x3030 (the number, zero) characters? Were you...

New Site Launch - Bugs and Issues
I used to use a link up top that linked to "orphan" threads (I think that's what they were called, threads with no reply) to find Modbus threads that had not yet had a reply, but that seems to have disappeared, too.

New Site Launch - Bugs and Issues
I thought the URL had been hi-jacked this morning until I poked around for awhile. Not a 'bug' as such, but such a huge difference that it's hard to figure out which threads have been newly updated with a new post in a thread. The previous site listed thread topics for maybe 20-30 threads...

How to send "login" string via Modbus?
I have no idea what a SOLA boiler is, but I can apply some Modbus experience to try and point you in the right direction, but I'm not sure your Modbus Master will execute the Function Code 10 (decimal) (0x16) properly. In various places in the Honeywell document, register 0177 is noted as...

How to send "login" string via Modbus?
What exactly is the Modbus problem? Is the problem reading values from the SOLA where you get an error or can't connect or get Time out? Or can you successfully read data via Modbus, but not write data to the SOLA?

Error in Measuring Differential Pressure Using DPT
Please make a sketch of the section of the process with physical placement of the connection points. Are there impulse tubes or remote seal capillaries? Dry or wet legs? Actual temperatures over the course of the process? magnitude of DP being measured? (and units?)
