Can i integrate the SCADA systems connected to the internet and monitor the different SCADA system information in another SCADA system that may serve as the main system that consolidate the information/data?

How can this be done? Can i have a system architecture of the for the possible approach?

thank you very much.

Can it be done? Yes

How is it Done? It Depends. What type of SCADA do you have?

Jan,

Yes you can do these sorts of things. Most SCADA systems can be linked to web servers, but it is not yet a common thing to do due to the fear of hackers.

If your wanting to link a number of systems into a central hub. It has been done, but it needs to be well thought through.

We have people in our office who have done this in Oil & Gas. I have an aquaintence who was looking after a control centre (Citect systems) that ran a number of remote mining sites (up to 1500km away).

What industry are you in and where?
We are in Perth Australia.

Look at http://pvbrowser.org

This SCADA is strictly client/server and can operate over LAN and Internet. You can surf the visualizations as you do with an ordinary webbrowser, but it is a special solution for SCADA with a dedicated browser using Qt. In order to make using internet connections more secure you can use this SCADA also via secure shell (SSH).

This is the principle:
