In LM6000 control system all pressure readings are in absolute measurement while on frame machines they are not.
What is the reason?
What is the reason?
The reason is related to their heritage from flight engines. Flight engines use absolute measurements because of the great range of altitudes at which they operate. When the flight engines were derived for marine and industrial use, GE kept using absolute measurements because that is what they had always done for those engines. In LM6000 control system all pressure readings are in absolute measurement while on frame machines they are not.
