Air cooled condenser

Can anyone tell me if a water wash of an air cooled condenser can be done whilst the ACC is in service with the fans running or do the fans need to be off? I have checked the procedure but can find no reference to the fans being on or off.

If you have an ACC could you let me know how you carry out your cleaning?
