Ajax gas detector module

Hi Have a good day ........We are using Ajax Gas detector module 5700 (Analog indicator type) for hydrocarbon gas detection in our frame-5 GT, it was showing High and High High alarm intermittently, so we changed the sensor with new one now it is always showing Fault and Inhibit indication on the module even though we changed the sensor with new one, anyone have any idea to resolve the issue or have any manual for Ajax 5700 module?

The "Fault" indication typically means the module isn't receiving a proper signal from the sensor. "Inhibit" suggests the module has been manually or automatically locked out. Check the cables for any signs of damage or wear. Use a multimeter to check for continuity. There should be no open circuits or shorts. The module's channel should be configured to match the specifications of the new sensor. Mismatched settings can lead to fault indications. I could not find any manual of Ajax gas detector module. However, here is one from Honeywell. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1616041/Honeywell-Sieger-System-57.html
You may find some similarities. For cross checking purposes, you can assign an easy to use AQM like this:

We have old type module with analog indicator, and the module seems to be faulty after installing new sensor module ,now waiting for spare,Thanks for your reply.

You're welcome. As a cheaper backup, you can add MQ sensors to your system. https://www.theengineeringprojects.com/2024/04/mq-gas-sensor-series.html
These are used in multiple industries, domestic areas, offices, and other places where a chance of leakage of combustible gas.
Of course, these are less efficient than what you're using. But these can be used as an emergency backup, in case the ajax gas sensor fails.
