Movement is through Hydraulic Proportional & Direction control valves & feedback from linear transducers(0-to-10V).
Need to know if Velocity feedback has any role in very tight position control at a speed of 800mm/sec. If so, then how can this be done.

 

Why not buy a hydraulic motion controller? Search on the internet for 'hydraulic motion controller' using "www.google.com":http://www.google.com . What you are asking for can be easily accomplished provided the hydraulics and mechanics are done right.

 

It is not common to have true velocity feedback.
Is is vital to have LVDT spool position feedback on the valve. This will be part of the valve control hydraulics

I consider BoschRexroth to be the best proportional valve / motion control packaged solution out there.
