This is my first post. A new entrant. Currently, I am supposed to configure and connect a modem on FX-2N-232-BD card of FX2N PLC from Mitsubishi. Does anyone know how to configure and integrate external dial-up modem on this card and program it? Basically, can I connect a modem on this card? I am writing a driver protocol using dedicated protocol for this PLC.

 

You certainly can use the FX2n-232BD for general communication, although it is a bit clunky. You can also use the port for programming, or connecting to an OPC server, so in theory you should be able to connect a modem. Try to get hold of the FX comuninication users manual (Mitsubishi manual No JY992D69901) This gives details of coms with the FX and FX2n series.
