I am using Honeywell Uniformance PHD for productions data reporting. We currently underwent a PLC upgrade from PLC5 to ControlLogix. From our PHD collector server, I can ping the IP address of the Control Logix's processors and I can ping the IP address of the Factory Talk PLC servers. In this situation, where does the OPC server play part? My end goal is to establish an RDI connection from the PHD Collector to the Control Logix PLCS. Or does this RDI connection connect to an OPC server on the Factory Talk PLC Servers? Any help is appreciated because my knowledge is very limited.
