I am looking for a good and all around resource to learn Ladder Logic. I have find bits and pieces of sample Ladder programs on the internet. Can anyone out there recommend all around great and helpful book, website, references, etc that will give me in details and lots of examples of various ladder logic samples used in automation and PID loops. I prefer a reference that also include in detail/ pictures of harware connected to a process so that I can visual see how ladder logic flows through process system.
Thank you so much

I found Frank D. Petruzella's PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLERS to be a good reference/book. The second addition includes Allen-Bradley PLC-5 and SLC-500 instruction set. It's based or uses AB instructions in its examples but does offer the fundamentals
