Motor indicating light

What about the motor indicating light on a 2 wire circuit when the motor contactor is dropped out by the overload protection. Should the light remain on indicating power is still available, to the contactor coil? This would warn the operator that the motor will restart upon overload reset? Should the light extinguish indicating the motor is not currently running? This question does not arise for a 3 wire control with momentary stop start push-buttons. The motor aux contact latches in the circuit and drops out upon overload sensing. The operator then has to push the start push-button again. On a 2 wire circuit using a selector switch, resetting the overload device would immediately start the motor.

You could put a light on the MCC to indicate that the selector switch is closed, that would make the operator think twice before resetting the overload unit.
