OPC and VB6 - contrologix PLC

I did a cofiguation table in exel, "hit the button and it downloads all the configuration to a contrologix PLC",now I want to migrate to VB6 and the Poke and Peek commands are not supported and I do get this error.

"Method Connect of OPCServer failed"

Do you use RSLinx or RSLinx OPC Server for syntax or what?

similar to

srvOPC.connect "RSLinx OPC Server", "TopicName"
