On pipes where H2S and SOx occur, are remote seals desirable? I'm concerned about the durability of the diaphragms.

 

Yes, very common to do so. Obviously there are some mat'l compatibility issues that have to be addressed, but typically not a problem. Your local Emerson/Rosemount contact for more details. There is also application data on the Rosemount website about how to deal with H2S apps.
