Serial Port communications using MS Access 97

Yes, that's right! MS Access 97!
I have a database using MS Access 97. Access 97 will create a .dat file into a default dir. I want to create a button in the database to submit the Access 97 .dat file from my pc to a mircocontroller (open a port). Just learning how to program.

can some one please send me the sample code, or any other help with regards to this matter would be appreciated!
