Could someone advice me on how to invoke hardware configurator on Simatic Step 7 version 5.1?

Single click on project icon
Double click on hardware icon

open simatic manager
open existing project ( ie demo)
position mouse on PLC ( green square on left )
In the right screen there should be an icon marked Hardware ( or materiel in french)
Just double click on icon
