Thermistor to PC through Parallel port

I have read a website providing info allowing for you to use the SPP to provide I/O for many instruments for input and output to relays etc.

I have a DB25 Male connector and some ribbon cable 5 meters.

I would like to use a project board and a terminal block with 25 terminals (homemade version of the one to buy at this site)

This would then connect a thermistor to the PC for measurement per the above connection and setup.

I will worry about software setup later.

The thermistor is a bead thermistor

tol: - 5%
power(max) - 250mW
Responce time - 1.2 secs
Therm time const. - 11 secs
Temp range - -40C to +125C reducing to 0C to 55C at max power.

If any more information is required then please reply to me with any questions. This is one of my first open university projects and I really appreciate any of your help.

Thanks again

Rob

I forgot to mention before anyone says you cannot do it then I am following project 3 at

its simple to set up and allows digital and Analogue I/O using the Parallel port.

Sorry I have left some links for info of detail its just I didnt want to make my thread too long.
