AI Warehouse Automation Software unveiled by Locus Robotics

Locus Robotics launches LocusINTELLIGENCE, AI-driven software within LocusONE that optimizes AMR collaboration, workflow efficiency, and real-time data insights.

News March 20, 2025 by Stephanie Leonida

Locus Robotics introduced its latest pioneering AI-backed warehouse automation software, LocusINTELLIGENCE. The software forms part of the autonomous mobile robot (AMR) corroboration and deployment platform, LocusONE. Locus Robotics has long delivered innovative AMR solutions for the warehouse and logistics sector. Now, the company focuses on delivering dynamic and responsive intelligence by integrating advanced AI. The intention is to economize on data, optimize analytics, and provide actionable insights to improve automated warehouse workflows and boost productivity.

LocusINTELLIGENCE leverages the power of real-time data, machine learning, and predictive analytics to generate insights for optimizing deployment, fleet corroboration, order fulfillment, asset maintenance, and worker performance.

LocusONE

Locus Robotics’ LocusONE is the industry’s first warehouse automation platform for enterprise-wide AMR deployments. The platform enables the corroboration of different AMRs and their management within brown and greenfield settings.

LocusONE makes automated warehouse operations scalable, co-opting more or removing AMRs depending on facility size (up to one million square feet or more). Two bot solutions feature with the LocusONE platform, including the Locus Origin and Locus Vector, providing a flexible, dynamic, multi-robot, and task-agnostic approach to warehouse operations, enabling production and order fulfillment processes.

The collaborative Locus Origin is a high-volume order fulfillment solution featuring an intuitive user interface with multi-language display options. The cobot is configurable to accommodate tote arrays, shipping bins, crates, bulk bins, and containers for specific application needs.

LocusVector has a payload capacity of up to 600 lb, roll-top configuration, dual 2D safety-rated light detection and ranging (LiDAR), an 8-10 hour run time, a 60-minute charge time, and omnidirectional Mecanum wheels. Vector is ideally suited for safe working alongside human personnel for various applications, including shelf/rack transportation, dunnage, case- and piece-picking & putaway, planned paths such as parts-to-line or milk runs, and point-to-point material moves. Vector bots can connect to automated workflows, including sortation and conveyor systems.

LocusLABS and LocusINTELLIGENCE

The LocusONE operational engine, LocusINTELLIGENCE, optimizes fulfillment operations using analytics and artificial intelligence. It dynamically controls task distribution, workflow improvement, and multi-robot teamwork, adjusting to changing order quantities and labor restrictions. The technology facilitates proactive, data-based choices and integration with current warehouse management software by providing detailed insights into operational performance.

Locus will present AI-powered innovations (created through Locus Robotics' LocusLABS R&D unit) at LogiMAT and ProMat 2025. These include AI-driven modeling for process improvement, labor optimization for optimal workload allocation, and sophisticated object recognition for instantaneous navigation. More advancements that allow for more adaptable and effective warehouse operations include radio frequency identification-based inventory validation and monitoring, large payload object handling, and humanoid cooperation using Reflex Robotics. These developments are expected to improve workplace efficiency and agility.

Addressing Key Sector Challenges

Locus Robotics' LocusINTELLIGENCE is designed to address integration barriers and employee safety issues related to worker shortages and market demand. Locus Robotics believes that it minimizes operational strain, improves scalability, and maximizes productivity by utilizing AMRs and real-time data insights, all while connecting with current systems with ease. In a constantly changing logistics environment, this automation system enables warehouses to remain robust, cost-effective, and responsive.
