A new proof of concept center from Omron and a shared campus for Endress+Hauser USA and Eastern Controls are some recent examples that promise industrial development in North America.

The expansion of a few companies in North America indicates the growth of manufacturing and technological segments. Omron, a company that creates, sells, and services fully integrated automation solutions, has recently announced its new Proof of Concept Center in Guadalajara, Mexico. In addition, Endress+Hauser USA and Eastern Controls, Inc. have broken ground on a new shared campus in Edgmont, Pennsylvania.

Industrial Expansion Points Toward Growth

Omron’s new proof of concept center provides its customers with a convenient place to look at technology demos, validate solutions, and collaborate with experts whenever needed. The shared campus of Endress+Hauser USA and its sales and service representative partner, Eastern Controls, Inc. is an 88,437 sq ft facility designed to facilitate the collaboration and education of both partners as they continue to serve the northeast’s measurement needs.

Omron’s new Proof of Concept Center (PoCC) showcases many automation solutions for different industrial needs. Featuring demonstrations of vision systems, robotics, advanced motion control, components, and sensors, the center provides tangible examples of various technological devices for the automation market. The main advantage of the PoCC is its ability to allow industry professionals to validate solutions and assess their potential impact on operations.

The center aims to offer industry experts a hands-on and immersive experience, enabling them to access automation technology and collaborate with experts to streamline operations and boost productivity. The goal is to bring users and designers together to develop new solutions to existing problems and develop new devices and technologies for the future.

Additionally, visitors can discover Omron's AI-powered inspection systems, which offer enhanced speed, reliability, and accuracy across the automotive, medical, aerospace, and semiconductor sectors. Utilizing Omron's robust Sysmac platform, these machines can be deployed in diverse manufacturing contexts.

 

Endress+Hauser USA and Eastern Controls, Inc. Create New Campus

The latest expansion from Endress+Hauser USA and Eastern Controls is an 88,437 sq ft facility that will serve as a hub for both companies. The facility aims to strengthen Endress+Hauser’s northeast presence and function as the headquarters for Eastern Controls. With the new facility, the two companies can work more efficiently together to meet the region's need for process measurement and control instrumentation across various industries.

The new facility will accommodate employees from both companies and enable them to address the product and service demands of the sanitization, energy, mining, manufacturing, paper, food, and life science industries.

The collaboration hopes to provide comprehensive solutions, including high-quality control valves, instrumentation, safety equipment, and workforce development programs for their existing and prospective customer base.

In addition, the new campus will feature an expanded Process Training Unit (PTU) and an Innovation Center, providing hands-on training and fostering technological advancements in process automation. Engineers and technicians will have the opportunity to test new products and learn their capabilities before purchasing for their own companies.

The facility will also host the annual Northeast Community Career+Education Forum (CCEF), promoting awareness and education in STEM fields. The companies hope to connect parents, students, counselors, and professionals to educate prospective employees about job opportunities and careers in technical fields.

Endress+Hauser and Eastern Controls, Inc. expect to complete their new shared campus in Edgmont by the fourth quarter of 2025.
