The PFCA7 Series Flow Controller

The SMC PFCA7 Series flow controller is designed to regulate the flow of compressed air and various gasses throughout systems. It operates by integrating into the supply line and utilizing internal components, such as valves and sensors, to monitor and control the flow allowed through the controller.

The controller's sensors provide real-time feedback on flow conditions, enabling rapid adjustments to maintain the desired rate. The adjustable valves within the controller modulate flow precisely, ensuring optimal performance of pneumatic actuators, machinery, and other components.

IO-Link Capability and Durability

The SMC PFCA7 Series flow controller is IO-Link compatible. With IO-Link, the PFCA7 integrates with industrial networks, providing access to process data, real-time flow rate values, and equipment status. This capability allows easy monitoring and control, enabling operators to grasp essential information effortlessly.

The PFCA7 Series’ grease-free design ensures cleanliness and reductions in maintenance requirements. The flow controller features a diversion structure that enhances water and foreign matter resistance, contributing to its durability and reliability in challenging industrial environments.

Energy Savings With Precision

Flow control is imperative for fostering energy efficiency. The foundation of energy savings lies in precisely controlling the flow consumption of equipment and pipelines. By implementing control measures, industries can optimize processes, minimize waste, and contribute to a more sustainable and economical operation.

The SMC PFCA7 boasts high control precision. SMC claims an accuracy of ±3% F.S. for dry air, ensuring consistent and reliable performance. The device's repeatability of ±1% F.S. further enhances its ability to reproduce accurate results consistently. Additionally, the PFCA7 Series achieves a settling time of 0.5 seconds or less for the 10/25 L range. The settling time includes the response time and rise time, as well as the additional time required to reach the specified error margin.
