problem in flow computer
It appeared from your first post that the problem was losing pulses, going from a true high flow rate 4000 thousand CMD to a false low rate of 70 thousand CMD. But if the opposite is true, going from a true low flow rate to a false high flow rate, and the duration period is relatively short...

The Floboss S600 manual here has very little on troubleshooting (page 101 forward), but it does mention error codes I/O failure messages. Are there any I/O failure messages or other fault codes? https://www.emerson.com/documents/automation/s600-instruction-manual-en-132470.pdf Post #7 in the...

problem of Local/Remote in ROTORK actuator
Manufacturers might duplicate features and settings from one model line to another model line, or not. Your Rotork actuator might or might not have the features or operation described in the Rotork IQ Range manual. You should find the 'exact' manual for your model Rotork actuator and use that...

Can I connect the analog out A0 of delta plc dvp10sx to three delta elw VFDs
I generally am not in factor of paralleling voltage outputs or series stringing 4-20mA current outputs because of common mode issues, directly related to 'using a common ground'. Multiple drives have a high likelihood of their analog inputs NOT having the same ground potential with the result...

problem of Local/Remote in ROTORK actuator
I'd suggest finding the correct manual for your model and confirming particulars for your model. But a manual for a ROTORK IQ RANGE model actuator showed up on the first page of Google hits and that model Rotork actuator has a Power Loss Inhibit feature, which sounds like what has happened in...

Yokogawa YVP110
If the process needs to run, buy another positioner, install it and get it running. Or order the parts and wait their arrival, which in today's delayed delivery economy, could be costly, time wise.

Erroneous modbus values
Out of curiosity, is this a hardware/Windows software package, where all the serial comm hardware is used to connect the hardware sensing end to Windows application software? Or is the Windows app a custom app that just uses any hardware as field input values?

Creating an automated high pressure test stand
Some observations 1. Make sure your ranges match. The I/P regulator that maxes out at 100 PSIG, the sensor a similar range. 2. The Cv on the solenoid valve is pretty low: 0.01, which is not a lot of flow. 3. The solenoid is direct acting, which you'll probably need, as opposed to a pilot...

Creating an automated high pressure test stand
What does your manual test procedure consist of? It helps to know exactly what one is attempting to automate. What is the purpose of this testing with pressure? - catastrophic leak detection? - slow leak detection? - deviation of some 'sensor' from the applied 'reference' pressure...

RTD- failure
Type T thermocouples are alloys of copper and not only work well at ambient, below ambient and cooking temperatures, have half the error of Types K and J, but are widely used in food and pharmaceutical applications specifically for the reasons cited. Specifying limit-of-error wire halves the...

Rosemount 3051 Dp level transmitter question
1. > I couldn’t find anywhere in all of my searching that said if vacuum would work in the same manner. It is not you, it's a universal deficiency in vendor documentation. It's assumed that 'everybody knows'. 2. Is the oil level absolutely, positively never going over that 36" physical...

Rosemount 3051 Dp level transmitter question
Thanks for the sketch. It always help to have numbers. It would help to know what the direction or magnitude of the error is, like, the dip stick reads 32.5", but the transmitter reports 28.3", or whatever. So the tank is 50" tall but is full at 36" with the DP transmitter mounted at the...

RTD- failure
Heat makes the components expand and in the expanded state, the broken wires touch and there is continuity so the wires conduct the current from the analog input source. The wires shrink when cooled, the wires no longer touch and the circuit is “open”. historical anecdote At a trade show in...

RTD- failure
The open circuit reading of -32 deg indicates a broken wire or element. The internal wires are very small gauge wires. The rough physical useage, the stabbing action, breaks either a wire-wound RTD element or the wires connected to a thin film solid state element or a wire-wound element. If...

Profibus Pa Configuration
My mistake in calling it a communicator. It is not a handheld communicator. It's a USB/ProfibusPA modem, so you need a PC both to load the Profibus driver into the MobiLink and you need a PC to run Pactware as the sofltware app that gives you access to the device configuration. I assume...

Profibus Pa Configuration
I recently used the Softing MobiLink handheld communicator with a paid license to talk to Foundation Fieldbus transmitters (needed a separate FF power supply). That same MobiLink is capable of Profibus PA communication with a Profibus license. I don't do Profibus, so you'll have to check with...

device damage randomly during serial rs232 communication going on
Twisted pair for RS-232? I have been a fan of twisted pair since 1978 when my boss showed me how to get rid of the noise on a 0-1Vdc signal running on individual wires. The shop had no STP cable, so he put one end of two individual conductors, about 65' (30m) long, in a vise to hold the one...
