Writing to a Holding Register Using Modbus Poll Master Software.
Here's a procedure for writing multiple values to multiple Holding registers (4)xxxxx. In ModPoll's command bar click on Function and from the drop down menu, select 16: Write Registers. In the 16: Write Multiple Registers dialog box that comes up, edit - the slave node ID number, - the...

flow transmitter with conditional orifice plate as element
All threads are numbered. This one is 49414, as you can see at the end of the URL. You started two threads, now you have to keep track of both, instead of only one. It is easier to have only one thread to keep track of. Dave is referring to your other thread # 49415...

flow transmitter with conditional orifice plate as element
What is a conditional orifice plate? flow conditioner upstream of an orifice plate? Four DP transmitters connected to a single orifice plate? How do you know the reading is wrong? What is your standard for the correct flow reading? How much error are you see at what flow rates? For...

Daikin Modbus Cards EKFCCMBCB7
Yeah but the contents of Modbus register (3)0021 is what the question is. Not detailed drawings or bills of material. I'm OK with manufacturers making 'reserving' any register for internal use and not publicizing its function, purpose or contents, but if the register is intended for use by...

Same question as Yaswant did not answer; can you read (4)0031 and is the value correct?

Cheap way to modulate a signal.
Please explain what your particular 24V signal is. A binary discrete signal, meaning 0V or 24V? Or a pulse width modulated signal; a binary discrete signal whose on/off periods vary in width? Or a continuously modulated 0-24Vdc signal? Or something else?

Hardware Independent 24*7 Online Vibration monitoring (in pumps, motors, turbines etc.) and Analysis Application.
The company I worked for sold the US brand Banner Engineering wireless industrial I/O radios. Worked great for 4-20mA/RTD/T-C and discretes. About 7-8 years into the wireless program, Banner introduced a wireless vibration monitor, to help sell the radios. But there was no software to go...

Differential pressure transmitter
You do have to ensure that the particular pressure transmitter model is capable and calibrated for both gauge pressure positive pressure and vacuum. While all gauge pressure transmitters handle positive pressure, some are not characterized or calibrated into the vacuum pressure range. The...

What controls the valve position? A manual handwheel/lever or a control signal? Where does the control signal that goes to the valve come from?

AAI835 AND AAI135 PROBLEMS
> we should test if wires of a transmitter be short circuit can burn card out? I don't know if you need to test a field short circuit if you believe in Ohms Law because it should be obvious what a short circuit does to the dropping resistor. Unless the capacitor is a filter cap on the front...

AAI835 AND AAI135 PROBLEMS
The most common problem is excess heat. high temperatures kill electronic components and it only takes one component to fail to kill the card. Clogged air conditioning filters is the primary suspect. Analog outputs generate far more heat than analog outputs and could contribute to the...

AAI835 AND AAI135 PROBLEMS
Typical of DCS hardware - no hits on a spec sheet in the first 20 hits on Google. So I'm blind as to what their specs are. I can tell you what I discovered when troubleshooting failed 4-20mA input modules where the dropping resistor that was built-in to AI module, burned out. In both cases...

Question : How I Send AO for a Setpoint Temperature With Modbus RTU
I don't read French. Which register number (on page 32 pdf) is the setpoint value that you want to write to? Is it 257/258? If I32 (Modbus type de point de donnees) means 32 bit integer, then I suspect that your problem is that the value in registers 257/258 are a single 32 bit floating...

Height control system based on timer (probably using hydraulic)
Bad weather here this morning, so a good opportunity to write all this out. The control of dampers is fairly common in automation, however, this not likely a $100 job; more likely hundreds or thousands of dollars, all depending . . . If the air control is multiple louvers on a damper then...

Multi point RTD malfunction
1. > We removed the RTD connection in the field Junction Box and checked the resistance. With a battery powered DVM, correct? A battery powered DVM is floating, it is not connected to a ground, whereas the DCS and temperature recorder analog input circuits are grounded at some point. The...

Absolute Pressure Transmitter Calibration
Yes, my mistake. Oops, yes, a 'zero' value of 135mBara would report a value 135mbara higher than the local weather station barometric pressure when the transmitter is open to atmosphere.

Establishing Modbus TCP communication
I always considered Schneider's PI MBUS 300 doc to be their specific implementation of Modbus, so I checked FC01, FC02, FC03, and FC04 in the 'official' MODBUS Application Protocol Specification V1.1b3, dated 2012, to see if it states the data byte format within a register, like the quote from...
