Calibration of DP Transmiter in Vacuum Service
That's gotta be a DCS because the graph has no units. I flunk students who fail to use use units. 74.98 what? 82.93 what?

Do you possibly mean 'interlocks' or 'permissives', instead of 'inhibitions'?

Instrumentation Training for apprentices(Dead weight Tester)
Not to your point, but a personal anecdote about a dead weight tester as perceived by an electronics guy. My dad got his ham radio operator license at age 9, in 1929 and built most of his own ham equipment from scratch. In his electrical engineering program in college, he was in a work-study...

Emerson Micro Motion CNG050 Modbus Problem
I have no idea what the image that you posted means. What are those numbers and where do they come from? What did you expect the numbers to be and how do the numbers vary from what you expected?

Emerson Micro Motion CNG050 Modbus Problem
The register addressing for Micromotion appears to be consolidated into a single reference manual at this link: https://i.postimg.cc/yYV1LdNh/Micromotion-register-list-mixes-Holding-and-Input-Registers.jpg Unfortunately, the manual is arranged by the values' number format - Floating point...

Question regarding Coriolis Flow Meters
I didn't even know Badger had a Coriolis line, so I have no experience, but before I buy stuff I at least skim read through the user manual because that's what I'd have to rely on to make the thing work. Here's some of the things the CRL-UM-00038-EN-10 user manual revealed that I noted. -...

Communication between SVI 2 FF(SVI3211) with Yokogawa DCS Centum VP
I somehow overlooked this article on troubleshooting FF. https://control.com/textbook/foundation-fieldbus-instrumentation/h1-ff-segment-troubleshooting/ The article mentions Relcom who manufactures Fieldbus testers. Relcom products I worked on uP boards in the late 1970's and can say that...

Communication between SVI 2 FF(SVI3211) with Yokogawa DCS Centum VP
How informative it was to read your post - with all the things you've done to attempt to resolve the FF comm problem. There might be someone out there with the same positioners that will show up and comment, but if the situation had been solved, one would think that word would have traveled...

Honeywell S9000e not making output
Have you contacted Honeywell's service group? It's a paid service, but I believe that there are still one or two service guys around who worked on S9000's.

IEEE754 Floating points in Tridium
Have you tried all the start register values on either side of the target? (3)0019, (3)0020 and (3)0021 (3)0022 Reading only 2 registers? Can you do a single shot poll rather than sequential polls or the polling way down to make sure the slave (or the master) isn't choking. I can't...

How can I communicate the computer with the led screen
With regards to serial communication Both ends need to have the same physical hardware bus layer. RS-485 is one such physical hardware bus layer that allows for point-to-point communications with suitable protocol and applications implemnentation. Both ends need firmware software to regulate...

Weld repair Generator cooling air duct
I don't get why any engineered product would ground an RTD lead. The beauty of an RTD is that it be inherently isolated, because the measurement relies on a constant current 'excitation' source so that the resulting voltage drop can be 'read'. The resistance wire, which is wound element...

IEEE754 Floating points in Tridium
1. Input vs Holding Registers The Modbus documentation has some factual errors with regards to Input vs Holding Registers. Their use of the expression 40022 for a register address (page 8) is incorrect because the leading numeral 4 in the expression is a Modbus spec/convention that defines a...

Windows Modbus Reader
Modscan is a great tool for checking, confirming and troubleshooting a Modbus connection and the data format, but it might not be the right tool for displaying data on a continuous, operational basis. A SCADA or HMI software package with a Modbus driver might be more what you need because those...

G.E. Part Number for Instruments on frame VI gas turbine system
Thanks for the very interesting historical note - the bipolar ±12VDC power supply for a 4-wire pressure transmitter. That precedes my experience. I just assumed two wire, loop power for an industrial pressure transmitter because that's been my experience and it just goes to show - assumptions...

Please stop just getting informations and leave without give people feedback!
A past US President, Bill Clinton, frequently made the statement, "I feel your pain". I'll echo that sentiment as an appropriate statement for your frustration at the circumstances when there's so little feedback from so many posters. As a long time veteran of web fora, I came to grips...

Modbus RTU with a TPW 04 PLC
FYI, by convention, Hexadecimal is used when documenting the fields in Modbus messages. I don't think I've seen anyone provide decimal numbers before. Hexadecimal works well because Modbus Holding and Input data registers are 16 bit registers, so each data register is a 4 digit hexadecimal...

DP flow meter calculation
Are you sure of your engineering units? a rather substantial 50 PSID drop across a flow element? An increase in flow of 150% (900gpm/600gpm = 1.5 = 150%) will produce a corresponding increase in DP of 225%, an increase from 50PSID to 112.5 PSID. sq rt of 225% DP (sq rt of 2.25 normalized) =...
