Generator Syncing but trips on 32 relay when GV are opening and steam is plentiful
CSA... I like your "true" stories! IKE43... The "32 GE electromechanical relay" calculates Watts, and can differentiate if its "flow" is away from or towards the generator! If either the PT's or CT's connections are reversed or their relative connections at the relay are reversed, then the...

Fault 125VDC ground MarkVie
abed77... Since you asked how to fix the fault you must first find it. Following is the method I used, eliminating the dangerous method of disconnection. Using a DC clamp-on ammeter measure the current in each (+) (-) wire/lead connected to each terminal block ! Of course it would be better if...

How to calculate gas volume released from vessel at drop of press
Mani15... For your 1st calculation... the "Ideal Gas Law" calculation: a) You used the wrong units for "P" and "V". b) The two O2 tanks should be treated as one tank. c) "N" should be "n", d) The equation should have been PV = nRT. e) "N" is used in the equation PV = NkT...

How to calculate gas volume released from vessel at drop of press
Mani15... Your approach seems rather hectic, so, let's start with basics: Step 1) Before you consider any change of condition(s), what are the total moles of each gas at the temperature and pressure conditions you cited? Step 2) Will be given once you have presented the answer to Step 1 ...

Generator Circuit Breaker low SF6 pressure in close position
Mr. Lodi... For increased safety: Assuming gen'r CB in question is connected to a "live" grid, then it is best to lower load-flow, with load PF as close to 1.0 as possible. Then open Gen'r stator CB at lowest current value reached before "reverse power" occurs. For the reason why, refer to an...
