Exhaust steam desuperheating
the heat required is so much less that that needed to vaporize the water, it is only a minor correction in you heat balance calculation. The challenges are in you piping arrangement.

Confused about the flow rate and pressure drop relationship measured across the orifice
joseph, you can include all those concern in your meter calculations. The math is well documented in various standards, and in reference books.

reactor temperature failure
You'll have to consult those who designed the rebuild.

Repeated motor winding failure of IngersollRand Screw Air Compressors 75 kW
Replace/upgrade the motor. That's less expensive than three rebuild per year.

Exhaust steam desuperheating
Less than the saturation temperature targeted. De-superheating valves commonly used.

Mass flowmetre fluctuation
Check the meter specification. There are min flow requirements, and examine a fluid sample as to its properties.

the transmitter elevation as suggested under the presumption that you would not experience solids buildup. Liquid services normally require filled lines with XMTR below the line

Should not be a problem with proper materials and transmitter mounted remotely above the pipe.

The difference between orifice in a PSV valve and orifice plate.
one is for measuring flow though in some cases restricting flow, the other for safety

O2 Trim on boilers with multiple burners
ISchuerch, Have dealt with multifuel boilers (6 different streams). This complicates the startup, safety interlocks and fuel / drum level controls, but excess oxygen control for common dampers/blowers was not a problem. Good luck!

O2 Trim on boilers with multiple burners
lschuerch, The number of burners makes little difference in the excess O2 control, unless you are using insitu O2 monitoring for each burner.

DP flow meter calculation
varatha your pressure units are most likely "inches water column", as few flow meters are design to tolerate 50/150 psi pressure differentials.

As CSA suggests, any question regarding shutoff valves requires far more specifics, likely unsuited to public forums.

munny Your accuracy is as good as the installation details and the liquid data, and of course a calibrated transmitter
