Provox Serial printer output to USB printer
If you want to avoid changing how Provox operates, the Lantronix or Moxa serial print server approach is most reliable and minimal-effort. If you're willing to add a PC in the loop, then using a serial-capture-to-printer script gives you flexibility and logging options.

UL508A power vs control circuits: 24V stepper motors
Use fuses or breakers that can interrupt the maximum fault current (in 24 V systems, high fault currents are less likely but not impossible). Check manufacturer specs for your stepper drivers: Some expect external fusing and have max current/voltage specs. If components have low SCCR ratings...

What are the most in-demand technical skills in oil & gas today?
Many plants still rely on ageing systems. Yet staff aren’t trained on modern digital instrumentation (HART, Fieldbus, IIoT protocols). Courses on smart sensors, loop tuning in complex control systems, and remote diagnostics.

Woodward Gas Control Valve BOM
Use G772K240A when you have at least 38 L/min hydraulic flow (per Rev AD). Use G771K201A only if you’re restricted to about 17 L/min and are strictly following older manual editions. Contact Woodward Support directly with your valve part numbers (9904‑755/756) and relevant serial numbers. They...

Annubar Flow Meter
Re-range or replace the DP transmitter with one that has higher sensitivity at low ΔP. Consider using a smart DP transmitter with a lower turndown ratio or an auto-ranging feature.

Bonfiglioli Vectron Active ACT201 sensorless field oriented control
If your drive does not show P1300 = 20 or does not accept P369 = 2 even in Expert mode, your firmware may not support synchronous motors. Then use a G120 (not C) with CU240E-2 or CU250S-2, which do support synchronous motors in SFOC mode.

two shaft gas turbine under temp control, & second stage Nozzle in open position
Under temperature control, it is normal behavior for the second-stage nozzle not to fully close if the control logic determines that such a position is not required.

Smart Positioner vs Normal Positioner, for Control Valves?
A normal positioner is an electropneumatic device that controls the position of a valve actuator based on a 4–20 mA analog signal from the controller. It compares the input signal (representing the desired position) to the actual valve position and adjusts the actuator pressure accordingly. A...

Ajax gas detector module
You're welcome. As a cheaper backup, you can add MQ sensors to your system. https://www.theengineeringprojects.com/2024/04/mq-gas-sensor-series.html These are used in multiple industries, domestic areas, offices, and other places where a chance of leakage of combustible gas. Of course, these...

Siemens s5
Even if the CPU is running and logic is correct, output modules (especially digital outputs) often require their own external 24VDC power. Check the power supply to the output modules. Use a multimeter to ensure 24V is present at the module's power input terminals. The surge that damaged the...

Where to place the HMI in my sensor array?
You can use an HMI (Human-Machine Interface) to visualize the pressure sensor data, and in this case, it would indeed function as a Modbus RTU slave or Modbus RTU master, depending on your setup. If your RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) supports multiple Modbus slaves, you can configure the HMI as...

A UL1077 breaker is considered supplemental protection and does not replace branch circuit protection which a UL489 breaker provides. If the UL1077 breaker feeds a PLC, Ethernet switch, or other low-power control panel components, you can size the wiring based on the load and the UL1077 breaker...
