Provox Serial printer output to USB printer

Does anyone have a solution to print out Provox Console Reports (not screen shots) to a modern printer? Our old Laser Printer with a serial port is giving up the ghost and we need get reports sent to a local printer.

Alternately - is there a solution where we could convert the serial output to cat-5 network and then into the printer's dedicated printer port?

If you want to avoid changing how Provox operates, the Lantronix or Moxa serial print server approach is most reliable and minimal-effort. If you're willing to add a PC in the loop, then using a serial-capture-to-printer script gives you flexibility and logging options.
