Asymmetric Input Constraint to Control a System (with Polytopic Uncertainty) Via MPC
Polytopes and Polytopic Uncertainty do not appear to have any place in Industrial Control where most of our interests lie. It would be good to know if you have any practical use for predictive control modeling. The nearest I can think of is some of the experimental work done in the Nuclear...

Calculating Coating Weight
What are you actually looking for? A calculation every 5 mins or 6 results of calculations over 30 mins then to do what? You haven't mentioned FIFO or FILO (or is that LIFO). I recall the days when these instructions didn't exist, and for 6 resultant values, you may as well build your own...

Bios Program for IPC
It would appear firmware for Fujitsu motherboard is not commercially available but you could try http://ts.fujitsu.com/helpdesk for further information and/or http://ts.fujitsu.com/mainboards%22 For BIOS update.

Beginner AC Servo Motor Guide
It's a while since I've dealt with servo control. Good starting point: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Servomotor As a beginner I would of thought near impossible build your own controller. However, I recall using intelligent stepper motor drives where serial messages on RS232 were sent as...

AC Stepper Motor Drive
It's a while since I've dealt with servo control. You can have AC Servomotors but only seen DC Stepper Drives. I recall an ABB system with phase locked AC motors - slave motor phase locked to a master but the slave could not rotate stepwise.

Load Driving Capability
You haven't stated in what context the transmitter operates - is the 24v sourced internally or does it have to be supplied externally? In simplistic terms you could assume the maximum drive current is around 40ma, mindful this does not include AC current.

Barriers for Pressure Sensors, Temperature Sensors, and Solenoids.
If you have any machine in a hazardous area then you need to prevent any possibility of explosion by way electrical energy. There are various ways of achieving this - using intrinsically safe barriers being one of them. I get the impression you need a Hazop Study to determine the best...

Noise Frequency
Noise covers all frequencies your measurement system will be able to handle. Have there been attempts to reduce it by re-routing wiring or screening? You need to ascertain what vibration frequencies are created at the generator and use a signal conditioner as a bypass filter.

USB Communication with PIC24
The spec refers to 'full-speed USB 2.0 Device/Host/OTG' and 'USB On The Go', so would appear to be built in. You need to tell us what firmware or OS you have in your project.

Replacing DCS PLC Cards
I recall many years ago, a mechanical engineer asking if he could control the machine in front of us, using his Sinclair Z80. The answer was, you have the computing power (and speed if using machine code) to make it work but you wouldn't would you? You would need a great deal more hardware to...

Designing a Solar Photovoltaic System
A Solar System giving out up to 8MegaW.- that would be quite a size! A great deal would depend on location, which would possibly give an answer to fixed panel or sun tracking system. The location and type of panel would then determine the size of farm for the demand. A well chosen...

This is very interesting and should be a reminder to us all that attempted hacking of industrial controllers is a dangerous game for the owners. We should pay particular attention to remotely accessed control systems that only need one intrusion to cause chaos. Thank you for bringing your...

This Need a Controller?
It's unclear what you are trying to achieve - but if you can explain mathematically or by flowchart than that might help. I recall trying to do something almost opposite - control a variable speed pump in a constantly emptying tank using one level probe. the maths was quite simple even though...

Analog I/O Scan of PLC
Brian is quite correct. - There is very little need for direct I/O scanning. The only times it has seen to be used in the past is: 1. The Allen Bradley LN2 processor in it's day had 'Immediate O/P' instruction. This was used to energise a TTL digital o/p on and then back off again...

ISO 27001
I doubt companies in the US are interested in European Regulation... And the UK has shown (as in 'Brexit' !) what it thinks of European Regulations - especially as in this case it originated in the UK. the Euro-bureaucrats then throw it back at us as though they thought it up. I'm not aware...

Discovering Connected Modbus Devices
I'd like to think there is a broadcast to all slaves which doesn't require acknowledgement. But if you think about it, if you could broadcast to all slaves which requires acknowledgement, 50 or more simultaneous 'ack' or 'nack' would lead to so many collisions it could well crash your network...
