Texas Instruments TI140 Error
http://www.ti.com/corp/docs/redirect/siemens.htm TI ceased manufacturing and supporting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other products of its industrial controls business based in Johnson City, Tennessee (the "Business") in October 1991, when it sold the Business to Siemens...

Motor Grease
This is something a motor manufacturer would be interested in rather than Control Engineers. However a brief comparison suggests polyurea grease can handle higher running temperatures and harsher environments. I would guess from that it would be more expensive.

All LED Flashing Simatic S7 400H CPU
It's assumed from your brief description that the plant has dual redundant S7-400 processors with high integrity / failsafe I/O. We can only guess at what happened - the best course would be to flag the issue on the Siemens Automation forum...

Adding an Output Card to S7 300 PLC
You can add an output providing there is room in the rack for it. Once you have decided on the type you can obtain a manual for it from the Simens Automation website. Configuration is under the Hardware Configuration heading where you need to add I/O mapping...

Profibus -FMS to Modbus converter.
There are many types of protocol converters several linked below - some are limited to Modbus RTU so you need to check your client requirements: http://www.prosoft-technology.com/Products/Gateways/Modbus-Master-Slave/Modbus-Master-Slave-to-PROFIBUS-DP-Slave-Gateway...

Axial Vibration Monitoring
You'll have to give us a little more information on what you are trying to achieve. I'm guessing you have rotating shaft but which direction is the free float and where does the -10 come in.

Motion Control vs. Vector Control
You'll have to give us a little more information on what you are trying to achieve. I've used motion control in hydraulic systems - vector control techniques simply would not work.

Slurry Density Measurement in Ash Wastewater
There are various sludge/slurry meters on the market, but suggest you search for distributors local to your area as most meters are for sludges and industrial wastes, not for ash. You would need to ask them how capable and accurate their devices would be. Here in the UK major systems convey...

DeviceNet
Since Device Net is not fail safe, one would use a hardwired Emergency Stop as standard procedure.

Single transmitter for two ESD outputs
Do you know why your client prefers a single transmitter and what precisely is the device. One way round the subject is HAZOP meeting where the fail safe / fail to danger and the implications can be discussed at length.

Protecting Thermal Valves in an Extinguishing System
You'll have to give us a little more information on the type of valves you have. Are they thermal valves that operate on temperature? Or valves that have actuators thermally (and maybe overload) protected?

Power Generation Simulation Software
Having used ETAP it appears to me be simple and straightforward to use. Looking at DigSILENT specs it appears more suitable for more complex simulations, and since it appears to be a German product more appropriate for use in Europe than US based ETAP.

MODBUS Siemens CPU ET200SP
If you have connected to the CPU programming port, I believe it will be looking for Profibus and Profinet protocols - one of the four Communication Modules will give you Modbus protocol (RTU) although at RS232/485 not ethernet.

PLC to Control 3Khz-6Khz Single Phase Inverter
Which PLC would you like? Allen Bradley (Rockwell), Siemens, Mitsubishi etc. most modern PLC's will give PID functionality. You haven't stated what the inverter is for or how you intend to interface the PLC to it. I would guess similar to an inverter motor drive with several digital controls...

SLC 5/03 fault problem

3-Point Step Control
Generally 3 point control is to provide basic step control to a device such as open/close a valve as in your example. 3 Term control (PID) is too complex and is impractical as you have only open and close commands without any idea of valve position. Assuming your valve servo motor can inch...
