PWM Current Control Monitoring
There are many voltage and current detectors with isolated outputs on the market, choose one that is most suitable for your application. I would guess there are situations where there would be no current output from the controller without being at fault - standby perhaps.

How to measure resistance with Omron s8vk-g12024?
You'll really have to tell us what you are trying to achieve ....... The Omron s8vk-g12024 is a 24vDC power supply. If your products are purely resistive then one supposes you could put 24vDC across and measure the current, then apply ohm's law to determine resistance at 24v. This assumes...

Actual Plant and Transfer Functions of Non-minimum Phase System
Quote: Today's scientists have substituted mathematics for experiments, and they wander off through equation after equation, and eventually build a structure which has no relation to reality. Nikola Tesla (1856 - 1943). When at University I had a flair for studying theory and trying to...

Required Pump Signals
Take a step back and ask 'what is the pump intended to do' within a process environment. A simple example is topping up a water storage tank - auto relay as above to run the filling pump at a fixed speed for short periods. Another example is a pump required to top up a wet well to...

System Configuration for Railway Signalling and Interlocking Applications
hi argon, HIMA kit generally has a very good reputation in the Petro-Chem industry, so no doubt likewise in the Rail/Transport sector. I have not used either Artesyn or MEN Mikro's whilst in the rail industry which both are clearly targeted. SIL4 is a very hard standard to achieve - have...

Auxiliary Boiler
Hot Standby can be anything you imagine it would be .. The chemical plant I worked at had hot standby as they were exporting steam to a third party which was the justification. It was retained in a hot state by steam from the operational boiler. Periodically it was fired to ensure correct...

HAZID Study
https://www.safeopedia.com/7/4079/hazards/what-is-the-difference-between-hazid-and-hazop "HazID stands for hazard identification. It is more of a general risk analysis tool designed to alert management to threats and hazards as early in the process as possible"

Should I use a Regenerative Drive?
You could hire a (3 phase) power meter and find out exactly how much energy you are saving and /or regenerating from the existing setup; so you can make an informed decision as to whether a regenerating system is better and economic.

How to Setup Bently Nevada Proximity Sensors
You don't set up the Bently Nevada Proximity sensors, rather the 'Machinery Monitoring System' https://www.gemeasurement.com/condition-monitoring-and-protection/rack-based-monitoring/bently-nevada-3500-series-machinery-monitoring-system The sensors interface directly with the system: the...

Implementing linearization in the hardware or software component of a measurement system
I've seen Linearization of Analogue signals achieved by hardware and software - as you have confirmed. So it's unclear why you are raising the point.

Mounting Two SITOP Power Supply Units Side-by-side
The data sheet doesn't mention cable duct although it usually has ducting above and below. The unit has vents top and bottom which is why 50mm is the minimum clearance required. There are no vents in either side; the unit being designed to sit side by side other hardware or 2nd power supply.

Interlock, TRUE or FALSE
It is generally good practice to name software flags precisely what they are in logical one (active)state, as opposed to logical zero state. This is fine except for certain conditions for fail safe flags such as Emergency stop where the logical state matches the electrical signal - so in logic...

MicroLogix 1400
Sometimes more computing power is not required in small applications. It may be that Rockwell may eventually phase out the Micrologix range, and they either replace with something similar or exclude themselves from small application market.

Ethernet to Serial and Back
You seem to have almost answered your own question: If you can 'easily handle the 485 to ethernet conversion with simple hardware' than presumably you can 'easily handle the ethernet to 485 conversion with simple hardware'(no protocol conversion involved).

Paralleling Generators
Since you are looking at generator fundamentals you would be better thinking of generators in parallel as 'the grid'. Once a single generator is synchronised to the grid, it cannot slow down or speed up - it is synchronised until such time it is electrically disconnected from the grid. Thus...

Ladder Logic Help with Bit Shift Left
This is almost comparable to a conveying system we commissioned as system builders some time ago. Each container had a bar code which entered the top of a stack of shift registers as each passed the bar code reader. As each container entered a divert station for one of several heat shrink...
