Also i have a read on a OEM manual ( taht i can attach here because file size is too big...) It is including some tricks &tips with PCS7 WINCC it is describing how to connect third party via Novell... I am pretty sure that can higlight you on some points... James

How long the unit has been operated ... Is that commissioning phase/major overhaul /outage....any kind of works have been performed these last days before this occured..

We can not give better support if you dont share gathering datas like sismic/radial vibrations, axial displacement... Or any event that may caused this tooth damaged...

Okay Looks like you mentionned "extruder" can we know the prime mover type If gas turbine Frame unit... I use to see Flender or Graffestanden Load gear box not this model...

You may have solution to clear the fault & so on the Sys fault led , but the thing is that you must troubleshoot backplane power supply prior ... I will lookin for your feedback! Thanks James

Did the unit experienced a wrong /incorrect operation as I Know a case similar to this one ... Any axial displacement measured now?

Can you tell us Make /model manufacturer OEM of the unit and load gearbox.... We can be better placed to advise you on such problem...

And this can be expected for a large communication network as issue can be between controller and device and not necessary with all devices.. You know what I mean Hum...
