Hi I'm doing one project related to facts control. project title is SINGLE PHASE TRANSMISSION LINE ANALYZER USING TCSC. here TCSC(thyristor controlled series capacitor) is the FACTS device..

my project is based on the reactive power control. here tcsc is the reactive power controller. tcsc is a simple model of parallel LC circuit. in this circuit L will be connected depending upon the firing angle of the thyristor. parallel resonance also occur in this tcsc circuit.

at the time of resonance condition some sound will be produced in inductor. please tell why the sound will be produced in that inductor. here my tcsc values are L=0.7mH , C=30uf /440V AC Capacitor.
current rating of the inductor and capacitor is 10A.

actually my capacitance value will be 1274micro farad/440V ac capacitor. first i check with that 30uF capacitor. If I'm using 1274uf capacitor instead of 30uf capacitor in that circuit what will be the effect?

my AC source voltage is 110V. this voltage is given through single phase VARIAC(6A). line resistance and inductance are R=4.6ohm and L=12mH. load is RL(R=50ohm/4A, L=120mH/4A)

please reply me as soon as possible....
I'm eagerly waiting for your reply..
