MS5002 Lube Oil Tank Pressure Decreased

Hi,
On GE MS5002 running mechanical load, I’m seeing Lube Oil Tank Pressure has decreased from -ve1inH2O to -ve4inH2O. There is no change in turbine load. I tried adjusting dampers on mist eliminator fan (discharge damper) but it does not seem working much. Tried to close suction damper by 7-10%; however, I didn’t see any change in suction pressure. I’m planning to close inlet damper further so that flow of mist could be decreased to the fan which I believe would increase pressure in the tank. Although Tank Pressure is running quiet low, there is no vapors seen on the vent which is on the discharge of the fan. I’m also not suspecting something wrong with the demister as I do not see any vapors at the vent meaning demister is working. However, I’m seeing local gauge showing demister suction pressure as +2inH2O whereas pressure after demister is showing -ve25inH2O. Both of these pressures are doubtful for me.

Appreciate your advise in reseting the Lube Oil Tank pressure back to -ve1-2inH2O.

Any suggestions experts?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Elomoon. However, it seems that you didn’t read my message fully. Vacuum in the tank is not lost, infact I’m facing excessive vacuum (excessive -ve pressure) in the tank which is 3 to 4 times of the vacuum it normally should be.
