Here we are using 18 heaters each of 70KW rating when operated at 100% load. wiring is done in such a way that divided into three zones each having 6 heaters each,in each zone 2 delta loop is formed between 6 heaters 3for each delta loop and are powered from the same supply. supply for each heater is 415V. my question is once i was measuring current flow in both the terminals of the heater in which say for terminal A is drawing around 60A and the other terminal B is showing 0A. how is that possible, acc to law current which passes through one end must leave in the other. plz explain in laymans terms////

 

Perhaps the current going in one end doesn't come out the other.

Seriously - check that you don't have a ground fault. Wouldn't heaters that large be 3 phase?
