I am using Single turn ARS60 absolute encoder.
Model number is ARS60-FDA01024.
I want to decrease the resolution of the encoder from 10bit to 8 bit. Is it possible? I need this since the number of digital inputs avialable in PLC rack are less.

Believe it or not, you will do that if you just ignore the 2 least significant bits.

Can you simply not wire up the 2 least significant bits? This would reduce the resolution by 2 bits.
