Ammonia Flow Measurement

Sir,

I am using a mass flow meter for measuring ammonia liquid flow (temp at 10°c) in ammonia tanker loading activity. During initial batch startup, flow meter is not showing correctly or sometimes behaves erratically due to dual phase of ammonia. Once the liquid flow is established, the flow indication is steady. Manufacturers advised to provide vapor elimantor to remove vapors from the line. Moreover, manufacturers reported due to dual phase of ammonia, vibration may arise and damages the mass flow meter.

I would like to know two things:
1. Does dual phase really damage the mass flow meter?
2. The manufacturer's details of who can supply ammonia vapor eliminators.

I request you send your valuable advice to my ID. If any related matter is available on the net, kindly provide web id.

The dual phase will lead to erratic flow measurement which you are already observing & will not cause damage to the meter provided the pressure is stable & don't create much of vibrations on the metering tube. Dual phase metering has been a challenge to flow measurement industry.
