the steam turbine has been shutdown due to maintenance work going on, on the hrsg. The work is going to take a little while before it is completed. In between the shut down period for how long and at what interval should the steam turbine be barred before the work on the hrsg is completed, assuming it is going to take a maximum of five (5) months to be completed.

Hi Anthony,
It seems unfortunate that np one replied against such a serious topic. Today I was searching for long term preservation procedures for a Turbine shutdown for any reason I came across this thread. Any thoughts by experts in this forum? . Many power plant operators search for procedures to keep their Turbines healthy and start operation after about 6 months or so stand still condition.

 

I'm not a turbine guy, but I have no idea what the term 'barred' means. Could you explain what you mean by 'barred'?
