Calibration procedure

need calibration procedure of ABB Flowmeter model: DM43F. could anyone help me? thanks.

That's a current model. Current magmeters are factory calibrated. Some manufacturers have some sort of verification unit that can be used in the field to simulate flow and check the output of the electronics. But I don't think you are asking for calibration, because calibration is an expensive task, done at shops who put the tube on a flow stand and run water through it.

However, configuration is making the meter read the right range and output the right signals.

From the blurb below, taken from the spec sheet on the web, it appears that that meter has a menu and/or HART and/or Profibus; any of which are used to configure the meter for the flow rate range, engineering units and such.

– Simple, menu controlled operating structure
– Configure externally using a Magnetic Stick
– Current and pulse outputs, contact input and
output user configurable
– HART-Protocol with 4...20 mA
– PROFIBUS DP

Get the manual for it and configure it.

Because that flow meter is a magnetic flow meter there is no need to calibrate the unit. The principal of operation for a mag flow meter means
they can be successfully calibrated in the factory. The only reason a mag flow meter would need to be recalibrated would be if the physical parameters of the tube had changed.

You can check the accuracy of your flow meter by doing a tank drop or utilising another flow measuring device in the same line.
