Calibration Procedures for Weighing indicator (UMC600)

I am in need of the calibration proceedures for the umc600. I have fumbled around but can't seem to get it right when trying to set a span or inter a loaded weight. Any help would be appreciated.

What's wrong with the single slope span calibration procedure described in section 5 of the manual (page 51 PDF) or the 5 point linearization procedure described (on page 52 PDF)?
