Cancelling Print Jobs in SCADA systems

Hi,

Normally in SCADA systems, there is a requriement of extensive reporting. Soon after commissioning, the operators do not feed paper to the printer or the printers get faulty and don't get replaced. The Automaically generated reports thus get qeued in the system. The que keeps increasing and keeps sucking on the system resources.

Is there a way that I can check the print qeue periodically and if it increases a certain limit, cancel all the print jobs automatically?

In addition, is there a way to read the printer status form Windows, so that the system doesnot generate a Report at all if the status is not healthy?

I would really appreciate any feedback in this regards.
