Could some one help me Configuring OPC with WinCC so as to use Internal Tags of one WinCC nodes on other WinCC nodes.

1. Currently am having two WinCC nodes. I need to access Internal tags of one WinCC node on the other WinCC node. This could be done with OPC. Could some one help me configure OPC with WinCC.

2. Also do I need additional licence for OPC on WinCC. I am having 1024 RC+RT licence for WinCC.

you dont need any optional license.
please, refer to your wincc cd-rom, in there you
can find more details how to operate with opc.
by the way, what is your wincc version?
with 5.0 or 5.1 opc is no problem

The Siemens support page has some setup instructions for OPC and WinCC. Go to

and do a search on ID numbers 12069091 and 11703924, or request "WinCC and OPC" as a search parameter.

You will need an upgrade license only if you exceed the number of tags available on your licence: each OPC tag you define will be counted as an external tag (as it is being communicated outside the local computer).
