If I buy something based on it's IP rating what proof do I have that the product actually conforms to this. I know that the product has to go through a series of tests to gain its rating but is there any proof of this held on a database anywhere. Can I expect a certificate of conformity for IP rated equipment from the vendor.

Hi Ben
Each producer must have a certificate about IP protection degree about given product. Such a certificate has to be available on request or to be delivered directly with the product. Just ask your supplier and they have to provide it.
