Help with Motocom SDK

I am using the Motocom SDK for an HP3JC and NX100.

I was finally able to connect to the robot serially. Now I am trying to turn on the servo, but every time it returns a failed event. I am using the same handle right after it successfully connected to the
controller. What do you think would be the cause for this?

I have been trying to get the motoman sdk software but with no luck as i would like to connect directly with our HP20 motoman robots. I thought i would write my own software. Do you know what communication protocol is used eg modbus etc. I can't seem to get any technical documentation, all i really want to do is download our robot JBI files.
