I want to study by distance learning, do you know Tech?

Hello everyone, I'm writing in this section because I've been looking for a training section in the forum and I haven't found one.

Guys lately I wanted to continue studying to expand my knowledge and improve my skills in software development. I saw some complementary courses on the subject at a university called TECH and I was interested especially because they are online and do not have fixed schedules of study, which suits my needs. For this reason it would be very helpful if anyone has experience with this university or can tell me if it is worth the study material? I appreciate it.

At the beginning, I was a bit afraid of not having classmates, but then I understood that my only competition was myself. I pushed myself to be better and that was the best I could do.

Thanks to my experience here, I was able to develop skills that make me stand out in my current job. The possibility to learn in a self-taught way prepared me to face new challenges with confidence.

I noticed you mentioned that the course is not on a fixed schedule. I had experience with both fixed and free scheduled learning.

I completed a 'correspondence course' in the early '70's that involved receiving a text book, and then doing individual chapter lessons which needed to be mailed in and were returned 'marked up' by the instructor. I did the course at my own pace and it worked very well for me, I did one or two chapters a week and missed a week here or there due to circumstances, but completed it, learning a lot. It worked well for me.

Then I tried a remote-learning class in the late '90's for "Excel" and initially thought that on-line presentations with email for sending in work and lessons was a big step forward. But, to my dismay I found that it was like regular scheduled classroom work, with me sitting at home instead of sitting a classroom, but with all the restrictions of sitting in a classroom. Each lesson had to be listened to and its work completed by a given date, twice a week. That was way too scheduled for my purposes. It was convenient for the instructor, but not for me. I just could not maintain their schedule due to work requirements and dropped the course after 3 or 4 weeks.

It's not that internet-based remote learning can't be accomplished on the learner's schedule instead of the instructor's schedule, but that was not the format I ran into and it just did not work for me.

Good morning, yes of course, highly recommended. Tech allows you flexibility in schedules, which is what you are looking for, plus the contents are of high quality and very up to date. Tech also provides you with full support from the beginning of your programme until you graduate, which allows you to organise your time and have a better educational experience.
