What is the standard installation for Gas Flow Measuring with Pressure and Temperature compensation? Which one will be install in up stream of orifice element and which one will be in down stream.

Thermowells are downstream of the orifice beyond the meter run length.

Before multivariables when using a flow computer, I tapped the absolute static pressure transmitter in at the orifice plate's upstream differential pressure tap in the flange union.

I just thought locating the PT static pressure tap at the high side DP tap and keeping a thermowell bluff body outside the meter run where the flow profile is developed made sense.

But I'd seen someone mention a standard and managed to find Rosemount's Cahill's blog where he says a tee at the high side complies with ASME MFC-3M for a PT static pressure tap.
